They will also gain in-depth knowledge of essential rigging procedures, and the critical elements required for safe and effective lifting operations.  This includes multimedia instruction on personnel, equipment, load, and lift requirements and techniques to minimize risks for individuals directly involved in rigging loads for crane lifting operations. Rigging Basics emphasizes the importance of lift planning, guiding participants on the importance of communicating a lift plan, inspecting rigging equipment, identifying the weight and Center of Gravity of the load, and determining safe and stable sling angles prior to lifting.
