Why should the manufacturing industry leverage retargeting?

When you browse for a product on one website and then go to another site or social platform, you might see ads for the same products on these other platforms—almost like the product is stalking you. This is website retargeting, or remarketing. It is a display advertising method that serves customized ads to people who have indicated an interest in your brand by visiting a specific website. By placing a tracking pixel on the website, you can follow your target audience when they leave and make sure they still see your ads as they browse through their favorite blog, news, or shopping site, thereby persuading them to come back.

How can STEM education bridge the knowledge gap?

Millennials may have grown up with computers, smartphones, and the Internet, but all that time spent looking at screens does not necessarily mean the generation has full technological competence—they are not as tech-savvy as they think they are. They do not have the necessary skills to fill the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) positions of today and tomorrow.

As per a study conducted by Change the Equation, 58 percent of millennials have low skills in solving problems with technology, although they spend an average of 35 hours per week on digital media. The report further says that this may have already affected the job prospects of millennials.

Drawing courses every engineering student should take

A picture is worth a thousand words.

This holds true for all engineers.Technical drawing allows efficient communication among engineers. Engineering drawing is all about applying mathematical and scientific knowledge to designing. To be successful as an engineer, a person must be able to accurately communicate one’s design intentions to clients, manufacturers, and end users through the use of drawings, specifications, and instructions.

Engineering drawings must be clear and accurate. When engineers fail to accurately communicate their designs, expensive materials can be cut in wrong sizes, joints can be completed improperly and may require expensive changes to be adapted back to the original intent. This can lead to improper structures and failed machinery, resulting in loss of property, loss of money, or even serious accidents. So how does an engineer excel at drawing? By getting the basics right.
